Last Tuesday Vivi woke up with a fever and upset tummy, followed by Vince on Thursday and Ali on Saturday. So they're sick, off schedule and exhausted but amazingly good spirits still. We made it to Grandma Sylvia's on Thursday after stuffing ourselves in the SUV, fed the kiddos and went to bed. Well, we tried but the babies didn't agree. We got up on Friday with all intentions of heading to Farm Credit's Nampa office but since the babies didn't sleep well, we didn't make it. Vince had his first visit to a park with Dad and Papa and again, wasn't enjoying it. We did manage to load up all three for a late lunch with Clint's friends and were the first to arrive! I wiped down everything within reach and held my breathe as they touched tables and dropped toys on the floor. The babies did pretty well for their first restaurant visit!
After a little nap, we got a visit from Clint's cousin Erica and my friend Catie. Then off to Aunt Lisa's for family dinner. At this point the babies were exhausted, overwhelmed and just plain cranky. Erica snapped some great photos, that you see below. Thanks for having us Jerry and Lisa!
Vivi kept trying to take a drink of Gummy's wine.
Vince right before he spent the rest of the night crying.
The babies love holding on to their "piggys". Jadelyn is the triplets' cousin and only one day older!
Ali trying to look away from Uncle Jerry's ugly BSU t-shirt.
Vince just didn't feel good, poor guy. I think he was overwhelmed with the people and noise.
Jadelyn is such a happy, sweet baby!
The babies love the camera!
The babies slept a little better Friday night and got up a little later. Some fast showers, feedings and packing and we were off to Twin Falls. Being so tired, the babies slept almost the full two hours. We managed to get to Aden and Peyton's egg hunt a minute after it started but did get to snap a pic with the Easter bunny. Mom went to pick up lunch and we headed up to Larry and Christi's to feed and check out the remodel. An hour later we landed at Mom and Dad's slightly ready for visitors.
My Hollifield family arrived around 4:15 and the fun began. :) Babies were very overwhelmed and cranky since they lacked naps. But it was so good to see my family and I couldn't believe how big all the kiddos had gotten!
Sunday morning we managed to be only 15 minutes late for our meeting with Rev. Airhart at the Methodist church we were married in. The babies looked absolutely darling in the Easter outfits and we were so welcomed by the congregation. The kids only cried when the cold water was run on their foreheads, but quickly consoled and fell asleep once we got back in the pews.
We had a family lunch back at Mom and Dad's with both families and the babies took a really good nap. They were finally back to their happy selves once we had to load up and head back home. Again, not a peep on the plane and barely awoke on the transfer from car seats to cribs. Although the babies are sick, tired and crabby and Clint and my tails are dragging, our visit was so worth it. What a wonderful time spent with family and friends and entering God's family. We hope you had as wonderful an Easter weekend as we did!
Here are some photos and videos from home. We've got movers and shakers!
One night the babies were so tired, they fell asleep while burping.
Ali thought Bailey Mahoney was so intriguing!
Had to throw in this St. Luke's ad, in the airport of my beautiful and talented cousin Paige!
