Ali's echocardiogram finally showed up at 2:30 and the little trooper put up with it the whole time. She makes the cutest sounds sucking like mad on her pacifier. Here's a pic for you.
Just as we expected, the PDA was still there. The Dr. mentioned a second round of meds and I responded absolutely not. Let's get her surgery over with, and move on down the road. Since it was so late when the echo was finished, the cardiologist won't recommend anything until tomorrow morning. But our Dr. promised she'd have the surgery by the end of the week. They even left the IV in her little head, in case she has it within 24 hours. After the echo was over, I got to feed her straight breast milk, and she practically inhaled it. She'll get just breast milk over the next day to get her system working again, probably just enough time until surgery happens.
The 24 calorie modified breast milk/formula combo that Vivi and Vince get makes them very "fragrant." They toot and poo all the time, and it smells awful! They let me give them baths again yesterday and I was glad to make them smell like babies again!
Vivi loves spa time! Vince? Not so much!

big prayers headed to Ali and her parents!!
